Updated on July 2nd, 2023, by Sophie McEvoy: Hogwarts Legacy takes place in the late 1800s, centuries before iconic characters of the books and films entered the School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Avid fans of the movies and books will recognize these connections immediately, as a fair few of the characters in Hogwarts Legacy are related to Harry Potter characters, some in more direct ways than others. While the end of Hogwarts Legacy leaves many questions unanswered, some of the newly introduced students and professors have glaring connections to their descendants.
